Silistra Region is situated in the North-East part of Bulgaria, bordering Romania through
the Danube river. It is located in the Dobrudzha plain region, 200 meters above the sea level. 
Silistra District covers 2 850 square kilometers of land, which includes 7 municipalities:
Silistra,
Dulovo, Tutrakan,
Alfatar, Kaynardzha, Glavinitsa,
Sitovo

The good geographical situation and the preference of many different types of
transportation make the Silistra region a good prospect of economic development.
